Have you ever promised the moon to someone and not delivered ? Have you had great trouble in finding the right reasons for not delivering your commitments? But have you ever wondered, why people always go about promising the moon? Or shy away from promising the same?

Simple.

You promise the moon knowing well you can't possibly deliver it. And also knowing well that the person who is promised the same is also aware that you've just gotten out of a wishing well. Or you are too sure that you don't intend to mess your life anylonger.

If this is true, then why do people feel let down, make a hue and cry over impossible expectations? It's a belief system that when something is meant to be offered or promised however difficult the choice could be, it's taken for granted and an image of the promised one is formed in the mind of the potential receiver which takes an exclusive seat in his senses.
And that seat do not wish to get shaken. Even if that seat is an illusion. That's also known as trust.

Life is all about making commitments and living upto it. " Oh, I can trust George to do it."
" If Tom can't do it nobody can. He has never let me down."

Total faith in someone's capability could be utterly challenging. And there's hardly any room for failure to show it's face.

It's all about expecting the unexpected. Be it success or failure. There are times when you fail to prove your sincere efforts in making your promises a reality. This is when you are on a focussed mission to prove a point.
True, the efforts are sincere. It does show at times. After all one can't hide huge hearts on display when they are built from the bottom.
